Facelift Surgery

Facelift surgery, or rhytidectomy, is successfully performed on patients ranging in age from 30 to over 80. A facelift cannot stop the aging process, nor can it turn back the clock. It can give your face a healthy and more youthful appearance. Many patients experience increased self-confidence. As with all facial plastic surgery, general good health and realistic expectations are prerequisites.

In some patients, Dr. Sedwick will recommend facial liposuction to remove excess fatty deposits in conjunction with a facelift. A facelift/necklift primarily treats the jaw line area and neck areas or the lower half of the face. As the aging population increases, face lifting has become a more desirable plastic surgery procedure. Dr. Sedwick is careful to minimize trauma, resulting in a more rapid healing process and a faster return to social activities for his patients.
